A two-player strategy board game with a rotating board twist

Pentaballs is based on the board game Pentago — place a marble, then rotate a section of the board. First to get five in a row wins. The rotation mechanic turns what sounds simple into a game where you constantly have to rethink your plan.
How to Play Pentaballs
The board is divided into 4 quadrants. On each turn you do two things:
- Place a marble anywhere on the board
- Rotate any quadrant 90 degrees in either direction
Five in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — wins the game. But because the board rotates after every move, the lines you are building can be broken or completed by the rotation itself. This is what makes it addictive.
Play With a Friend or Against the AI
Two-player (same device) — Pass the phone back and forth. Great for killing time with a friend or playing against your partner.
Single player vs. AI — Practice your strategy against the computer when nobody is around.
What Makes It Different from Tic-Tac-Toe or Connect Four?
Tic-tac-toe is solved — it always ends in a draw if both players know what they are doing. Connect Four has limited strategic depth. Pentaballs has the rotating board, which means the game state changes in ways you cannot fully control. You might accidentally complete your opponent’s line when rotating, or a rotation might save you from a losing position.
