Allowance Tracker: Terms and Conditions
By using Allowance Tracker app or this website you agree to terms and conditions provided below. Terms of use may change in the future, check this page on every app update.
Allowance Tracker app is software, it is complex and may contain bugs (we are really sorry if you have experienced one). While we are doing our best we cannot guarantee that our software will function in all situations and circumstances.
Allowance Tracker: Privacy Policy
This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on Allowance Tracker’s iPhone app and any other devices and platforms.
Where is my Allowance Tracker data stored?
Data in the Allowance Tracker app is stored locally on your mobile device by default. This includes the profiles you create for your children, their balances, transaction history, savings goals and chores.
Allowance Tracker also uses Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) to store data in the cloud. When you enable the optional Family Sharing feature, the data you choose to share — including children’s names, balances, transactions, savings goals and chores — is uploaded to and stored on Firebase servers so that other members of your family, using their own devices, can view and stay in sync with the same information. This shared data is associated with a randomly generated family code, not with your name, email address or any other personal identity.
If you do not use Family Sharing, your data remains on your device and is not uploaded to Firebase.
Data in Allowance Tracker might also be automatically saved in Apple’s iCloud as part of the iCloud backup of your device (if you have enabled iCloud backup and there is enough free space for backup in your iCloud account).
Are there user accounts on Allowance Tracker?
Allowance Tracker does not require you to create an account with an email address or password. To enable cloud storage and Family Sharing, the app uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication, which assigns an anonymous identifier to your device. This identifier is not linked to your personal identity, and we do not collect your name, email address or contact details.
What information is collected about my use of Allowance Tracker?
Allowance Tracker does not use third party analytics services to profile you. The information you enter into the app (such as children’s names and financial amounts) is used solely to provide the app’s features. When Family Sharing is enabled, this information is stored on Firebase as described above. Firebase, as a Google service, may process limited technical data (such as a device identifier and connection information) as necessary to deliver the storage and synchronisation service.
Allowance Tracker uses the following third party services:
Google Firebase — Firebase (provided by Google) is used for cloud data storage (Cloud Firestore) and anonymous authentication, which together power the optional Family Sharing feature. Firebase stores the family data you choose to share and may process device and connection information required to provide the service. You can read more about how Google handles data in Firebase at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
RevenueCat — RevenueCat is used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase history, device identifiers, and transaction data to process and validate your purchases. No personal payment information (such as credit card details) is shared with RevenueCat — all payments are processed securely through Apple. You can read more about RevenueCat’s privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
What are cookies and how are they used? When you are browsing Oval Software’s website, small files (known as “cookies”) are saved onto your device to collect analytics information about how users browse the site by our analytics service.
Changes and Updates If Allowance Tracker makes changes to Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy, these changes will be posted on the site in a timely manner. We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently (at least on every app update).
In case of a business transaction in which a portion or all of Allowance Tracker business is acquired, we will notify you as described above in this paragraph.
